See you on Saturday!

CigarVolante is the combination of those indulgences that make life rich and full; things like cigars, wine, motorcycles, women that ride motorcycles, good friends; all the good stuff. After two years that has culminated in the Tour de Panacea!

Tour de Panacea is wine, cigars, wine and cigars, motorcycles and a love of the freedom. The Tour de Panacea is the celebration of the freedom to do ALL of that. We will be riding to two of the Virginia Wine and Cigar Trail wineries and, in between, riding in Rolling Thunder in Washington DC. We invite you to join us for a springtime ride, a tribute to the heroes that have kept us safe, and wine and cigars at two of the wineries of the Virginia Wine and Cigar Trail. Paul Bush, President of Flat Bed Cigar Company, manufacturers of Panacea Cigars will be joining us. Ride with him from Pennsylvania, ride with us from Central Virginia or meet us at Unicorn Winery at 3:00 pm on Saturday. You choose. That’s freedom!

What are the details of the trip from central Virginia?

Tentative plans are to leave out of parking lot from the shopping center on Rte 53 at Lake Monticello at about 9 am. We will ride up 53 to 20 and ride 64 to the Rockfish Gap exit, the entrance to Skyline Drive. This will be the meetup point for anyone joining us from the Southwest. Plan would be to leave there at 11 to 11:30, ride up Skyline Drive, through Sperryville to Unicorn Winery for the cigar/wine event.

We will plan to leave Warrenton at about 9 am to ride to the Pentagon for Rolling Thunder staging and after the ride we will go south to Stafford and the event at Potomac Point.

Monday we will leave at about 9 a.m., ride west to Luray then down the Shenandoah Valley and back to Charlottesville.

There are a number of hotel options in and around Warrenton and Stafford.

Plan is for approximately 3-4 hours of riding each day if you want to join up or just meet us at the events in the afternoon/evening. We encourage flexibility.

I rode the route last Thursday and it is gorgeous. The plan is for this to be planned destinations with lots of flexibility as to how you get there. Drive a car if you want to! I will be leaving Lake Monticello, from Video at the Lake at 9 ish, riding to Afton Mountain Inn at the Rte 64 Entrance to Skyline Drive. I will leave there about 10. Keep in mind that Skyline Drive is a National Park and there is an entrance fee. There are lots of other ways to get to Amissville. We will get to Unicorn Winery with plenty of time to spare. There are hotels in Warrenton but rooms will be going fast as there are a number of weddings.
